The Mad Hatters Scarf

This scarf is one of the top searches that bring new people to my Blog. As I mentioned before I found out this scarf was a Paul Smith garment and with it being part of the Mad Hatters outfit, well I had to find out for myself what it looked like. And this was the outcome of our introduction, only I'm sure the Stylists on-set starched it or something to get it so perky.

Mad Hatter Scarf by Paul Smith

It makes sense-- Paul Smith being the 'out of the box' designer that he is, and Johnny Depp being the... well the way 'out of the box' actor that he is.

Depp stars in the highly anticipated 'ALICE IN WONDERLAND' featuring an incredible cast which includes Anne Hathaway and Helena Bonham Carter.

Last night I went to watch 'Dear John'. And FYI I got popcorn salt in my eyes, they weren't tears, okay! Anyway during the preview I noticed a scarf worn by the Mad Hatter. I had a feeling it was Paul Smith and later investigated. It is infact Paul Smith, from his Ladies 'Black Label' collection which is available at my wardrobe here in both black and pink!

PART 1 - Johnny Depp's Style

His movies are off-centre and his characters are in-depth and often bizarre. He is the ultimate anti-hero and yet he is more successful and mainstream than he would probably like to be. But Johnny Depp has been here for a long time and shows no sign of slowing down.

As discussed on Top Billing with the lovely Kelly Parkhurst, Hollywoods old (well, not that old) greats are placed under a proverbial microscope. Why are they still cool, relevant and prominent sex-symbols after so many years in the game?

Depp is rugged and seems to take little notice of his celebrity. His look is barely ever polished, in fact it's more like he rolled out of bed and put on his glasses and walked out the door. I suppose thats why it works.

To obtain his look, consider the following items to grace your wardrobe:

1) FEDORA HATS
2) BEANIES PULLED BACK JUST ENOUGH TO SEE THE HAIRLINE
3) TORN JEANS
4) BOOTS
5) RINGS (SKULLS IN PARTICULAR)
6) LONG NECK CHAINS, LOT'S AND LOT'S OF THEM
7) HIS CLASSIC MOSCOT ORIGINAL GLASSES
8) A GOATEE!
9) LEATHER WRIST STRAPS
10) ATTITUDE!
