What I wore... today: Black and Brown and Grey

Photobucket

A little while ago I posted a picture of on-screen fashionisto Chuck Bass actor Ed Westwick. He was wearing black and brown and I noted that I liked the style of combining those colours. Granted it wasn't the best picture which my readers didn't approve of, so in lieu of finding some other random celebrity to show you, here I am in today's outfit post. I combined Grey, black and brown and I quite like the mix. It's raining like mad outside so just imagine my scarf and umbrella, both of which are soaked!

What I wore...

In addition to outfit requests I have also been asked what kind of outfit I would wear on a random Sunday, so here you have it. The pants were from Aca Joe which I cut and rolled up. Excuse the bin.

So I've been receiving emails requesting what I wear from time to time... I thought to oblige. This is all Paul Smith, I was having a formal-ish day and felt like some colour! The cranberry cable knit is Paul Smith too, and very cozy.

By the way it takes a real man to pull off floral!

What I wore today

Today I wore my new grey Red Ear jeans which I love. I spent two months running to slim down my legs for these! They are especially great when paired with purples, reds and as below brown and grey. Wearing a soft grey shirt allows the colour of my Energie Brogue-esque shoes to pop out more. The belt is vintage.Simple, but effective.

How great is the detailing on these pockets? The designers favorite animal is a rabbit to it's no wonder it made it's way onto the jeans!

I may not have a wardrobe like Jane from Sea of shoes, or what seems like proffessional make-up artists and photographers (although many thanks to Nicolette for mine)but this is typically the circles I run in with regards to my style. Classic with a twist.

What I wore, today

I've seen this done in a few other blogs so I thought it might be nice to show you what I wear to work and play occasionally.

This is a fitted fish-tail mens blazer in black, with an incredible lining of a coin design.

These shoes are my pride and joy and I wear them only sporadically so that each time it's like seeing an old friend and that way they keep like new! They're Paul Smith Brogues from the mainline and they were a pretty penny but so worth the wait.

Whenever I wear a statement piece I think it's important to be tonally concious with the rest of your outfit. Otherwise you're running around like Agyness Deyn, who we all love but girlfriend can overdo it sometimes... and she's a supermodel, so what are your chances like?
