Versace AW10 | Milan fashion week

Photobucket

It seems that Versace's Autumn/Winter collection derived from two inspirations, The futuristic Biker and an army of suave, stylish Neo's from The Matrix wearing wrap around shades.

The collection included a few colour blocks of Blue and deep Purple pieces:

Skin tight leather pants in various shades. A must-have first for me! But in black!
The styling of this outfit is utter perfection.

And lastly the colourful tops with tie-dye adjacent mac inspired prints!

Marc Jacobs Biker Jacket. Fantastic leather quality and zippage! So although I would very much love to own this beauty I don't think it's even available anymore. Nieman Marcus are sold out. And let's be real, it probably costs $3000 or more!

This is precisely the leather jacket I'm after. I've been thinking about it ever since I saw Ashley Olsen wear a biker jacket over a gown at a premiere. Then soon after I watched Shia Lebeouf wear the mens version in "Indiana Jones". Then just yesterday I was watching a Lady GaGa short on Mtv and her male backup dancers were wearing them too. It's gotten me pretty decided on getting my own now.

I think that David Archuleta has the one I reeeeally want from "RRL" below, although I must see if I can source it:

I'm only hoping that this jacket doesn't become one of those "trends" that everyone wears and then I'm stuck with a good quality jacket I can't/won't wear like in the case of my Wayfarer Ray bans!

You can order one here from Rusty Zipper an online Vintage dealer.

William Rast Fall 09

Last night we witnessed the third show from William Rast, love-child of Justin Timberlake and Johan and Marcella Lindeberg in pursuit of making the perfect denim. While that might be a bit ambitious for now I did however enjoy the 80's acid washed jeans he used. Denim and Leather has always gone together well and you can see that story ran through the whole collection. Nicely cut leather jackets and blazers and the introduction of tassled boots? Well not too bad considering he's a Pop star, songwriter, Producer and an Actor. Adding designer to his list of creds isn't a bad thing! Nicely done.

These are my favourite looks! (ABOVE and BELOW)

Unfortunately this studded jacket looks like Timberlake got hold of a bedazzler between recording sets.
